Political Stencils by rocksicle Political Stencils by rocksicle
I'm working on a couple of sets of stencils. This is the first: Political.
These are just put digitally onto stock art walls, I'll hopefully cut the best ones up and put them around Sheffield and London.

What do you think of the ideas?

I think, it's got a very Banksie feel to them. They're edgy and fresh, and simplistic enough to be effective with only the one colour. A lot of political stencils I see around my city require like, 3 or 4 colours to even remotely work, and don't come off too well when only a single is available.

Especially liking the billboat one ;) I might have to give this a try sometime if I ever get back into the game, methinks

Don't encourage the bastard chavs. :(

I don't know whether you got this, but The Chavs Are Revolting is a play on words. Revolting as in rebelling and revolting as in disgusting.

Pretty good ideas, I especially like the * one but that would probably be quite hard to do unless you had a step ladder or something.

Yeah, I'm not exactly sure where I'd do it. That poster was just an example; I would have to find a place where I can reach where the * would go. Maybe if there was a ledge or something I could climb up.
